James Blackshaw - O True Believers

A perfect audial treat from a UK young and super talented guitar-raga virtuoso, James Blackshaw. This guy is the true amalgamation of John Fahey and Ravi Shankar's soul. Spine-chilling.

Pumice - Pebbles

Pumice is Stefan Geoffrey Neville from New Zealand who specializes in Lo-Fi psychedelic folk. This is his latest album. I like the mixture of scratchy sounds of the bambino organs and the harsh thundering 70's fuzz guitars. One of the best Lo-Fi gems in 2007. He's touring Japan right now btw.

Manitoba - Up in Flames

Dan Snaith's early project Manitoba. Tons of sunny psychedelic buzz on every track of this electronic pop fiesta. Dedicated to my dear friend, Grace. (:

Jonny Greenwood - There Will be Blood OST

Jonny's 2nd work as a movie scorer. You should get this movie and grab a milkshake. BRILLIANT.

No Age - Weirdo Rippers

Not another LA art-punk. No Age purvey a stripped, essential, life-affirming skewed take on pop delivered via a clearly defined punk-rock aesthetic, taking noise, energy and melody in equal measure. Reminiscent at various junctures of the likes of early Black Dice, Ramones, and My Bloody Valentine, Weirdo Rippers documents a fast developing band hitting their stride.

The Cairo Gang - s/t

Beautiful blend of noise, folk, ambient and minimalism. Sounds like Sonic Youth meets Benoit Pioulard with more vibrations and less drugs. Try this.
