Robbie Basho - Twilight Peaks

This is originally released in '85 but I think it has been reissued recently. This one is easily my favorite Basho stuff, although almost all of his albums are equally amazing. Guitar. Raga. Basho. Paradise.

Thank you much for posting this. I am a guitarist who studied and performed with Robbie Basho back in the 1960's and 70's. I am still playing in a "raga style" influenced by Robbie (search for "artpaws" at YouTube).

I heard of this site and your link from a friend at a Yahoo forum devoted to discussing and sharing information about Robbie Basho. We had heard of this album, but nobody had a copy of it.

So, many thanks once again

i dont think this has been reissued.

this sounds almost exactly like the rip i made of Glenn Jones' (Glenn was a student of Robbie Basho and friends with him at the end of his life) original cassette of the album. it is really a superb album. excellent stuff. nice to see it is making the rounds.

i also made a rip of Basho's other rare cassette called 'Bouquet' but unfortunately Glenn's cassette was in terrible shape and the rip is almost unlistenable with bad tape warble and whatnot.

here are links to scans of the Twilight Peaks tape cover and insert.

Great. I have a rip from Glenn of Bouquet, as well. It is a little warbly but I wouldn't call it unlistenable by any means. Plus I love Basho's singing and Bouquet has lots of it.

Is there ANY footage of Basho playing live anywhere?
